90 Days of Getting Back to ME Update
Well I wish I had a fantastic post to share with you all but unfortunately it was another rough week in the Craig household. John and I had about 8 hours of wellness and then both seemed to have come down with yet another "something". I have a terrible chest cold and he seems to have caught the flu. I've been trying to work out here and there but mostly I'm trying to reserve energy and just eat well in an effort to help my body heal. Ahhhh the joys of having a child start preschool. Along with all the fun comes all the germs. You moms know what I'm talking about. I'm a little discouraged because I am the type of person that if I don't just keep going like a steamroller I just putter out and I am starting to putter. But I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet! I think I'm going to toss in a little yoga since it can be calming and low intensity if you want it to be. Oh body why do you hate me so??
So my favorite breakfast meals to eat that I can share with you for this week has been either Ezekial bread with hummus and sliced tomato or a small bowl of organic yogurt with sliced almonds, sunflower seeds, strawberries and blueberries. Healthfully speaking you're not really supposed to mix protein with fruits since it wreaks havoc on your stomach (the stomach digests each in a completely different way) but I just can't help it. It's so yummy! I've also been eating my biggest meal of the day for lunch and really only having a few pieces of fruit for dinner. Sometimes that works, sometimes not.
So here goes some positive thoughts that next week will be better! Just trying to hold on with both hands and not fall off. That's my motto of the week. ;-)
