The Beauty You Don't See

Yesterday I had a previous client of mine email this to me:

And then I watched it. And then I cried. The pit of my stomach dropped and I felt so awful for the collective woman. All of us...because we are so special, so lovely, so incredible, so powerful, so nurturing, so strong, so amazing and so so so beautiful. Every. Single. One. Of. Us. And it turns my stomach to know that we are our very own worst enemies. Yes, we have one hell of a war out there to battle through and our armor is so thin at times. I know this. And our fight to just be who we are and who we want to be is perilous at times.

But just remember....you are beautiful. Yep, you. U-huh...you...sitting in front of your computer not believing me. YOU.

Alternatively, this is what I found in my daughter's room this morning. A little project she did while hanging out in her room. I will show her this when she turns 13.

Notice how there is nothing in here about her looks. That's my girl. ;-)
