Michelle & Mark | Churchview Farm Weddings
Ohhhhhh have I been waiting to unload this batch of photos on you! If you love cute, rustic, quirky, fun and a unique style that bucks tradition then read on! You got to see a bit of a sneak peek but I now give you the entire wedding morning of Michelle & Mark! John and I loved every single moment of this day. What we loved most was that Michelle & Mark did everything their own way. Michelle was having a wedding gown made for her wedding day but decided last minute it just wasn't for her. So her wedding attire consisted of a gray Alexandra Grecco skirt, burgundy J Crew sweater, floral patterned Kate Spade shoes and jewelry from Sabika. Mark stayed somewhat traditional, and so very handsome, in his deep blue suit and Bandari bow tie. I absolutely adored Michele's hair style for the day. She decided to wear her hair in a slight faux-hawk style updo with a very unique and totally gorgeous floral hairpiece to finish her look.
Everywhere we turned there was some little, adorable detail to stop and look at. Every tree stump had a beautiful rustic floral arrangement. Strung lights, chickens running amuck, hay barrels for seating during the ceremony, farm table seating for brunch....it was just a stunning day. I also thought it was a brilliant touch to serve brunch for their guests. While bloody mary cocktails and mamosas were being poured, the absolutely incredibly artful and delicious food made right on site was a real treat. Michelle & Mark hired a vinyl record store owner/dj to spin records at their reception with such an eclectic mix of music...it was awesome. One of the best parts was learning that Michelle & Mark had a self-uniting ceremony...who does it better than yourself?? I couldn't turn around twice without bumping into something beautiful and fun to photograph. It was truly a wonderful day.
And please take a moment to see the look on Mark's face when his eyes met with Michelle's when she was walking up the aisle. I caught it just in the knick of time and saw Michelle's eyes say "Well...here we are Love. It's our day." And Mark instantly teared up with a look of "Yep. Best day of my life." It was magical. Just magical.
So take your time and cruise the photos. You may not be familiar with Churchview Farms but I can honestly say I think you'll be hearing a lot from this new venue. As of the day we photographed Michelle and Mark's wedding, Churchview had just held their very first wedding the day before! It's fun, lovely, a real actual working farm and has a charm all on its own. The owner, Tara, is both down to earth and right on top of every single thing. It was a joy to work with her and her team. You couldn't ask for a better, more caring place to celebrate anything worth celebrating (I found myself trying to come up with a reason to rent the place out!)
