Second Chances

Seven years ago she got married. It was a beautiful day, she said, full of love, laughter and nuptials to her best friend. Then the photos were returned from her photographer and...well...let's just say those tears weren't for joy. So, seven years later, she came to me to (hopefully) get what she didn't get that day: beautiful photos of herself in her beautiful gown. I believe we achieved success. In fact, when I took the first few photos and showed her on the back of my camera, she began to cry. Those tears were for joy.

And I am so in love with these photos. One of the many things I love about them is that they look like a painting. That's because I used a pinhole lens, which is the oldest form of photography in history. Seriously...no joke. The first time the effect (camera obscure) of a pinhole lens was recorded was in the ninth century AD. Um. That's pretty old.

World's oldest technology used on world's newest technology. Innnneresting to say the least.

So these photos are the result of these 2 technologies colliding. I like it. In fact, I love it!
