A Year of Rebirth | Boudoir Photography Pittsburgh, PA

The last 2 years have been…interesting, I know. There has been so much upheaval and so much shutting down in so many ways that we just don’t know what to expect anymore. I didn’t just leave 2021 behind, I hopped, skipped, jumped, and flew with open arms into 2022! In 2020, we saw the world shut down. In 2021, we saw people shift priorities, careers, and family life. We may still be in the midst of a pandemic, but all I can see for 2022 is promise.

What does 2022 look like for you? What will you be starting, or what will you be ending? What goals will you be setting that you never saw coming? Do you see yourself differently in this upcoming year than you did in this previous year? What are your dreams? 

For so many of us, we are starting over in a multitude of different ways. Whether it’s the beginning of one thing or the end of another, the only word that keeps coming into my mind and out of my mouth for this year is “rebirth”. It’s almost as if the slate has been wiped clean and we are given a chance to reach higher and deeper than ever before. Sure, you can say this with the start of every new year, but this year is different, isn’t it? You feel it too.

I hope you find the time to go on your own search within and begin to assess what joy, contentment, and a deep sense of self-belonging means to you. I hope that when you think “home” you need look no further than the person staring back at you in the mirror. I hope you take some time this year to focus on your Self in curious, strange, and meaningful ways that result in a place of peace in your heart of hearts. 

Remember, everything will always start and end with you. Who will that be this year?
