Client Spotlight | Day of Pittsburgh | Personal Branding Photography

Meet Heather of Day of Pittsburgh. Right upon our very first email I knew I was going to like this gal. We talked about what she wanted from her session and how she saw it going and once I started to offer ideas and direction she started to get really excited and so did I!

Heather decided it was time to rebrand her look a little bit and since she is a fabulous day-of wedding planner here in the ‘Burgh, I figured the best place to do it was in one of Pittsburgh’s most fabulous hotels: The Marriott Renaissance, located downtown. If you’re not familiar with this hotel, it’s a beautiful combination of old-world-meets-new and the architecture and accommodations are quite lovely.

Unfortunately I wasn’t given the room I had anticipated so I had to think fast and some modifications to the session had to be made but thankfully all went well. We started off inside the hotel room I had rented and it was quite serendipitous that the main wall inside the room was covered in lovely art showcasing the city. I had recommended to Heather that she bring a few office props to show off her branding and mixing that in with the decor was super fun.

We headed to the mezzanine in the hotel (if you’ve ever been to that section of the hotel then you know it’s super snazzy in its decor, though I was so sad to see they had replaced their gorgeous dramatic and colorful couches with gray modern chairs and ottomans…but they worked). I think one of my favorite photos is Heather inside the elevator looking like she’s heading to the bride’s room on her wedding day, idea provided by the super duper smarty pants, Lee Ann, who is normally my hair and makeup stylist for my clients. That day she was pulling double duty as inspiring-idea-maker.

Next stop: outside. We were lucky enough to have a gorgeous day and walking around the city is always fun for me. I love that our downtown has just the right mix of hustle and bustle but not too much that you get lost in the stress of the busyness.

If you’re not familiar with Heather and her business you should definitely check her out. She is equal parts professional and simply awesome mixed into a beautiful, fun, down-to-earth gal that honestly I just wanted to go have margaritas with (that’s next).

If you’re curious as to how Heather thought our day went, be sure to head on over to read her blog post about our day and be sure to read her Google review too!
