Fall is a Time to Release, Renew, and Take Care
Yes, we’re almost through with fall for the year but I wanted to take a moment to remind all of you that it is an excellent time for a wee bit of stillness before we move directly into winter’s harshness. Fall is a magnificent occasion to take some time and reflect on what summer gifted you and what you want to end the year with.
Releasing is big for the fall time of year. It’s time to let go of one season and move into another, all while focusing on what you want to, or even need to, let go. This could be anything from the hot dogs and cheesy french fries of the summer, or relationships or habits that simply don’t work anymore. Release what no longer works for you.
Once you release all that you need to, consider what it is that you want to renew. What do you want to bring into your life? What do you want to focus on and call into abundance? What does your body/mind/soul need to nourish and flourish all the way through winter? Fall is a lovely time for reflection.
Oooooohhhhh……if you love self-care as much as I do then you’re in luck. Fall is a time for taking care of you in anyway you want. Stock up on all of your favorite bath products. Stack those books that you’ve been dying to read. Get yourself a new journal, or perhaps it’s time to refresh support practices like reiki, therapy, or acupuncture.
Fall is an easy time to get super busy and forget about the important things (yeah…your own SELF, primarily) so don’t miss this amazing opportunity being handed to you by the universe to let go of the old, bring in the new, and take some time to design your life with the dreams you’ve been putting on hold.
I mean, seriously…we keep looking to 2021 as if it’s going to be such a turnaround year for ourselves, our loved ones, our community, and even our country. The truth is, we don’t know what 2021 holds for us and now is definitely the time to take such good care of ourselves that no matter what the New Year brings, we can handle it.
