When Anne inquired about a session I knew instantly this was going to be pretty epic. I rarely get to do a full beauty shoot so when she said she wanted a Soul Session, my heart pitter-pattered for a second. Don’t get me wrong, boudoir is some kind of wonderful in my life, but getting to do beauty is just as fulfilling and since I don’t get to do it very often, when I do, I’m all kinds of smitten.

Once Anne began showing me her vision, I couldn’t help but be pretty excited. When she showed up for her session, I actually had no idea what we were doing, which is incredibly rare. I’m typically the one steering the ship but once the fashion we had decided on was delivered to her doorstep, it was clear it wasn’t going to work. So, I left Anne to her own devices and it was SUCH a great idea! She showed up with wardrobe that was gorgeous, fun, and gave her variety. Plus, she’s just gorgeous so I knew I couldn’t go wrong.

This first outfit I’m showing was actually 2nd in her line up, but I couldn’t help but show it first. I LOVED the white shirt with the white pants and what better way to capture white with white than on a white background?? With her skin tone, those blue eyes, and that pop of color on her lips…it was magic.

This is what I love about Soul Sessions. They’re real, they’re fun, and they’re just for you. Not that boudoir can’t be the same, for sure, but Soul Sessions have a way of becoming timeless in a different sort of way and they are absolutely spot on for those women that want an incredible experience that gives them extraordinary legacy photos while incorporating lovely, gorgeous, and sexy wardrobe (wait till you see the sequin gown!!) that doesn’t have to include lingerie.

You get 3 outfits with your session with me. It’s up to you what direction you want to take with each. Boudoir? Beauty? Branding? All 3?? Yes. Yes. And Yes. For Anne, that meant this adorbs outfit, a sequin gown, and a sexy-yet-simple black dress. She KILLED it in all 3 and what was so awesome was that all 3 brought out a completely different side of her. Elegant and chic (sequin gown), fun and playful (white outfit), and graceful and soulful (black dress).

Make sure to stay tuned because I can’t wait to show you the other 2 outfits!
