Black & White Boudoir | Pittsburgh Boudoir Glamour Photography
Oooook. If you've been looking over my blog for the last month or so I think you'll agree with me when I say I. Love. Photographing. Women. The curves, the softness, the power, the vulnerability...I get to see femininity in its most raw and purest form. These women come to me asking to see themselves. Each woman just wants to see a reflection of who they know they are but it is a reflection that perspective cannot accommodate and only hindsight will allow. My camera gives them that hindsight. I get to be the one that instantly captures that moment in time that will allow that woman to look back, in that 125th of a second of hindsight, and see themselves for who they truly are. Wow. That'll stop you dead in your tracks, huh?
For some reason my heart always flutters just a beat more when I can see all of that in black and white. There is something profound about a black and white image. For some reason, to me, it makes the emotion of that moment more intense...more real. I don't know what it is, but I gravitate to black and white images so much more than color. Maybe it's the simplicity of the photograph. Maybe it's because with all of the color drained out, there is only the person left to focus upon. Their eyes, smile...whatever it is I swear there are some photographs I could stare at for days.
