Catherine & Doug | Mansions on Fifth Weddings

As much as John and I love the big, beautiful weddings we photograph, we also have a soft spot for the teeny ones too. When John and I got married we left Pittsburgh and went to Vermont, just the 2 of us, and got married. So we can definitely understand why some couples choose to keep it simple. Sometimes it just fits who you are as a couple. And that's exactly what Catherine & Doug did. They had a very small gathering of a few friends and mostly family at the Mansions on Fifth for a short ceremony, some cake and lots of hugs. It's very sweet to participate in a day like this because there is no question that every single person there is super important to you and your relationship. So the emotions fly, the smiles are real and all the love is enough to fill the whole place. I like photographing that. :)
