The Legacy Photo | Omni William Penn Weddings | Pittsburgh
Yes--the Legacy Photo. That's a title John and I came up with to distinguish those photos that will be passed down from generation to generation from the rest. You know them when you see them because they instantly draw you in and they instantly tell you a story. How does the Legacy Photo draw you in? Composition and eyes. The composition will draw you in and the eyes will hold you (more to come on this later in the week with an Intimates post).
So, meet Lauren & Gabe. Both work in the film industry in Los Angeles so when they first contacted us they wanted to know if we were willing to coordinate efforts to take some pretty fantastical photos we were pretty intrigued. But they had me when they said they only wanted 1, maybe 2, reallllllly incredible photos of their wedding party. Ummm....wha?? Yep--that's right...it became very clear very quickly that creative wedding portraiture was not a volume sport for these 2. Game. On.
Throughout their planning process, Lauren & Gabe would send me photos from time to time depicting loosely where their creative minds were wandering in terms of photography. I loved it. We instantly connected with Lauren & Gabe and it was so much fun to realize we were all on the same page. By the time the wedding day came I felt like we were all best friends and I couldn't WAIT to put all the plans into action.
Not only was the photography an incredible amount of fun, but I have to tell you that I just fell in love with Lauren & Gabe. So relaxed, so organized, so deeply in love with one another and both set on making sure they were having fun, as well as their bridal party and all the guests. Simply put, it was a lovely lovely lovely day. I couldn't think of a better way to spend a Sunday than with these 2 amazing people.
Thank you Lauren & Gabe for such a fun, whirlwind day!
