Birds, Bugs, Botany and a Paintbrush
I have such a fun post for you today!! I got to meet and photograph one of Pittsburgh's most talented artists, Ashley Cecil. Ashley's work is incredible (I want a museum of it in my home) and if you're not familiar with it yet, you should be. I'll be posting all her links below. Ashley decided she needed some updated photographs of herself for her social media photos and her website. Insert us. So John and I took a morning and went to hang out at Ashley's studio. I walked in, and fell in love. Her work is so gorgeous, so colorful and so interesting as well.
Oh--and for you brides out there, Ashely just started a new thing she's doing specifically to memorialize a piece of your wedding day for all time: she is now painting your wedding bouquets so that when the bouquet dies, and when you put your wedding album away, you will still have a stunning painting of your wedding bouquet. How awesome is that??
A little sample for you. Isn't this lovely??
AND Ashley also offers some really wonderful products that she has had her art transferred onto, such as scarves (check out the blue one she's wearing in one of the photos, pillows and blankets. How sweet is that? So, if you're into super-cool local artists that are uber-talented, hop on over to Ashley's site, follow her on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest. Filling your everyday with such beauty can only make you a nicer person. And don't we all need to be nicer people? ;-)
