I Know What's Stopping You From a Session with Me | Two
Last week we talked about one of the three myths I believe you’re using to not book a session with me. Myth #1 was that you’re afraid you’ll make a fool of yourself, which, if you read my post from last week, is now debunked. Bye bye Myth #1!
Let’s talk about Myth #2. This myth is the false belief that out of every woman I’ve ever photographed over my last 16 years, you will be the ONE woman I simply cannot photograph well. You believe every single other woman out there has that one thing you don’t that allows them to nail the pose, achieve the facial expressions, and overall bring life to each photo. You believe there might be some kind of defect in you that will prohibit you from accomplishing a successful photoshoot with photos you love.
Girl: you would be wrong.
I understand your fear. This is something you’ve never done so you don’t know what to expect. You are not a model and most times you find it difficult to find ONE photo you believe you look good in. Every time you try to nail a pose or facial expression in the mirror you think you look silly and the only photos you’ve ever been able to even partially like are selfies and even those are debatable. Is this you? I get it.
The thing is, I DO know how to nail a photoshoot with you because I work with everyday women that just want awesome photos of themselves but have no idea how to make that happen. But I do. I know how to get out of women what I need and want to make the photos a success. Whatever your body and face can and can’t do I have worked with dozens of times before and I know how to work with, around, and through whatever it is that presents itself. I figure out your photographic strengths and weaknesses (we all have both) and I focus on the strengths while staying away from the weaknesses. We work together as a team and when we put our superpowers together, we are unstoppable.
See you later Myth #2! Stayed tuned for Myth #3 next week!
