I Know Why You're Not Booking More Clients
I don’t know you but I bet I know the answer to this. If you’re photographing gorgeous work, then posting that gorgeous work consistently, but still can’t seem to get your calendar full, I think I can help you.
You see, beautiful boudoir photography may not be enough to nail the booking. Here’s why: the women looking at the women you show in your photo believe those women have something they don’t. It could be a better body, more confidence, more of something they think they lack. Usually what they lack is the confidence to believe they can actually do it. They don’t believe they have what it takes to have gorgeous photos taken of them. Your job is to prove them wrong.
So how do we convince everyday women that they can do this? By sharing the stories of the other everyday women that did it and killed it. I promise you, NOTHING works like the time old notion, “If she can do it, I can too.”
After having several women, over time, say to me “I thought you were photographing models and lying to us. I thought you were just saying you photographed everyday women, until I read a post of yours talking about a real woman’s reaction after her shoot. That’s when I knew you actually were photographing everyday women, just like me.” BAM.
Storytelling is the key.
From then on, I began posting the stories of these women and why they scheduled a session with me. Not just any photographer; why ME. I talked about their desire to feel beautiful, to love themselves and see themselves in a different way. I talked about how nervous they were in the beginning and how much that changed by the end of the shoot.
EVERY woman has a story. EVERY woman has a reason why she is in your studio. Share that story and you’ll turn fence-sitters into paying clients.
